I don't know about you guys but most of the time I prefer to play a game on easy because I don't want to get so pissed I wanna break something like the controller, game console or PC. I'll play Uncharted 2 on normal though when it comes out in Aus.

Always start a new game on the normal setting. Will go to easy if the first couple of levels a hard on that setting though. Threw my old Sega 16 bit out of the window once as I was so mad at Alex the wonder kid. That console smashed into a million pieces
![]() Moral of story is-never throw a console out of the window when you live on the tenth floor. |

I will usaully play it on normal. there aren't too many games out there that's really that difficult on normal level. The game has to be really fun for me to go back and play it the 2nd time around on hard. Uncharted is the exception to the rule. No matter how hard it was on crushing, I kept playing that game. The game was still fun no matter how hard and frustrating it was. On U2, I will be starting the game on Hard because I know that even if it is on hard, I'm still going to be sitting there playing it till I finish.

I remember when Kevin (on Captain N) tried that.
Kevin (to a Genie): I wish I was unbeatable with my power pad and zapper! *Genie grants wish, Kevin starts blasting everything in sight, even shooting from the hip with closed eyes.* Kevin: Awesome! I can't miss. This is way cool! (seconds later) Kevin: Nah. This is boring. |

I always play on Normal, but I like the games that will give you the option of dropping down to easy for a bit if it notices you keep dying/losing on a certain part.
I don't see a point to getting too stressed out over a game, but I also don't want to feel like I'm not being challenged at all (like on easy). The exception is rhythm games, which generally are best played on expert, because I feel like that really adds to the game (except for GHIII, which was ridiculous on expert). |

I like to 'treasure hunt' and explore all over the place the first run through sometimes. That said, I'll sometimes go on Easy first time through just so I can play casually (and to see if I even like things).
I am wishing I had done U2 on Hard first now though (for Crushing access since that's where my skillset usually puts me when 'in the zone') and how easy all except like two parts are. Demon's Souls was/is a breeze for me for some reason. I think it just fits my style really nicely (came from big rpg background and heavy character stat 'thinking' and building for power gaming/maxing). |
