I just bought Ice Age 3 and the movie looked and sounded great until the 52:31 mark when the audio stopped. I was able to get the audio restarted by changing to another language and then back to DTS HD MA.
I am bitstreaming from a Samsung BD-1500 to an Onkyo TX-SR706. If I set the BD player to internally convert the audio, I get about 1-2 seconds of garbled audio and then everything is fine for the rest of the movie. I have inspected the disc and wiped off fingerprints. There is no loss of picture quality during this period. I bought this at Wally World and really don't look forward to exchanging it. So, before doing so, I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar problems. I'd hate to go through the exchange hassle only to still have problems. |

The sound cut out once at around 32 minutes and then again at around 55 minutes. I had to pause it and play again to get the sound back. The disc also took much longer to load than any other Blu-ray's I've ever had, several minutes before the menu would come up and another several minutes after pushing play before the film started. |

Nope, I just have an Insignia. I just did a firmware update not too long ago on mine.

Wallendo,
Picked it up from Walmart and just watched it with no problems. Sony BDP-S350 player bitstreaming to Pioneer Elite SC-05 receiver. Firmware is up to date on my player. Definitely look to see if your player firmware is up to date. Of course, install latest update if not. If it's a faulty disc you have, perhaps wait on exchanging so that the replacement comes from different stock, or consider exchanging at a different Walmart. |

I picked up two copies on Tuesday from Target (Chicago, IL). Both discs have the same audio issue around 52:30 - the picture slows down, you lose audio, then nothing. Strange thing, I can switch the audio to another language and back to the DTS HD and the sound would come back.
I do have a Samsung BD-1500, updated the firmware an hour ago. Now, the same scene just slows down a couple of frames, a loud pop and the audio continues... I emailed Fox Home Video yesterday about this - no response yet. I will try this weekend on my mom's Sony BD and see if it does it on her's. I want to go back to a different Target, but it seems that many people are experiencing this with the Samsung BD players... Equipment: Samsung BD-1500, Mitsubishi WD-82837, Pioneer VSX-39TX receiver |

I own a Sony BDP-N460 blu-ray player with the lastest firmware (v.094) installed and cannot get the Ice Age 3 blu-ray to play. It seems to freeze within the first few seconds after the circles on the bottom of the tv appearing from the movie loading screen. I have a PS3 slim and Sony BDP-S350 that the disc does play on. Any idea what may be wrong? Thanks in advance.
