Anyone excited for From Paris with Love? - Blu-ray Forum

Didn't see this posted anywhere else yet so is anyone looking forward to this? It's been made by the group that did Taken and that was imo the biggest and best surprise of 2009. Looks like the same pacing with some more fun in this one.

I would have to say no. John Travolta is a hit and miss guy with me. I like him in NON-Action films. He is not a very convincing bad guy, I think it is his voice, something about it does no intimated me. Also going bald isn't scary on him. JMO

No, i don't like over actors and that is what Travolta is when it comes to action/bad guy roles, the last thing i see that he was any good in was Wild Hogs.

Plus the title sucks, sounds like a 007 ripoff.

When I first saw the preview, I thought it was just a short parody of Taken or the Bourne series just to provide laughs. I was expecting to see the MAD TV logo or SNL following it. To me, Travolta is a horrible actor, just slightly better than Eddie Murphy (sorry Eddie), but to cast him for this type of movie is just laughable.

Not looking forward to it one bit. Anyone else think it's funny that Travolta is on the "bad-ass" character streak? (Pelham then this) The saving grace for the film is that it's directed by Taken's director, which I thought was very entertaining. However, that film has Liam Neeson who immediately lends credibility to any film he's in, imo.
