Romance/Musical Preliminary Poll!! Vote "7" Films Only!! - Blu-ray Forum

Ok here is the Romance/Musical preliminary poll! Choose the top 7 movies as only 7 will advance. I am gonna have this poll opened for a few days and I will continue to make all of the polls over the next few days so the voting can take place. Remember vote for the 7 u want to see make the tourney. Base it on how u feel. Remember its not best or fav poll, its overall and all up to u! Also remember only actual votes will count so dont just list your picks without voting or your votes wont count!

Also remember that its hard to list every movie in the genre as it would be to long so I am listing based on website hype or recent polls that Ive seen. Remember only top "7" advance anyway so if a movie u recognize isnt on the list then just pick the 7 from what is listed. There are a lot of categories and certain movies can fall under a diff category. Have fun guys! Let keep it goin......Got Em!!

Its not gonna happen Elvis - I dont think half the ppl on here have seen Casablanca , its quite depressing looking at the this list of what Czar calls probably the ones that deserve to be on here when some of the greatest musicals ever made are not even given a mention.
Maybe im just getting too old.

Knocking them out of the park today CZAR. Good polls. I was getting tired of all the Avatar threads. Here was Avatar on the list.

Just an alphabetical list of my 7 choices:

Amadeus
Beauty and the Beast
Casablanca
The English Patient
Gone with the Wind
Titanic
West Side Story

And still, I have some problems with these particular polls, even though I do appreciate your effort in making them. PEARL HARBOR is listed here but FROM HERE TO ETERNITY isn't and where is Fred Astaire & Gene Kelly and did I miss something or was SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE excluded too (one of the best romance stories staring Tom Hanks and basically a variation on AFFAIR TO REMEMBER). And I'm REALLY DISAPPOINTED that DOCTOR ZHIVAGO was excluded from this list! I also missed seeing SOUTH PACIFIC too; just MHO but it is fantastic on Blu!

Agreed. I appreciate his effort, but there are WAY too many major (not obscure or little known) and well-known films missing from each and every poll.

No offense to OP, but I don't think you know much about the musical genre. There are TON of titles that reasonably should be included for this poll to have any meaning. Also not clear on why you'd merge romance with musical.
