so we have option A) Emotiva XPA-5 for $800 plus an SVS PB12-NSD for $600 or the eD A3-300.
option B) the NEW PB12-Plus for $1150 or A7-350 which is $1200 + $200 for walnut or cherry. I'm leaning toward option A. there is a lot more gratification in that one. but to options b defense...that is supposed to be some stellar subs there....serious watts for serious subs. later down the road would be an xpa-3 added for rear surrounds. i'm only at a 5.1 surround now instead of my old 7.1. so i won't make that change till i move in the new house. i may try and hold off for the XPA-5 + A5-350. but i'm really pushing it already and i don't think the wife will go for it. maybe breaking them up over a month or two will help push the deal through. any thoughts. |

what if i said I was planning on keeping my Velodyne CHT10. which is 150w RMS or 180w RMS...i can't remember. but its still pretty close to A2-300...not sure I would notice a difference if I just bought one A2-300 its either a 20 watts or 50 watt difference. But i plan I adding to what I had for now. Which is why I was trying to bump up to the next level in watts on the sub. what are your thoughts then? |

but i figure i would add to it and see what I got. the goal would dual subs...and matching ones at that. but for now...i wanted to double the watts of what i currently got. i'm sure it will take some tweaking to get them to work together....but thats the part i don't mind. |

food for thought for sure ![]() if u look at my gallery...i installed the sub in the wall for a nice clean/flush look. so I can always not hook up my velodyne and just run the A3-300. i know duals would give nice room response. but i believe twin a2s will be underpowering the next room as i move into a dedicated HT with projector and all kinds o goodies. i just wanna use some stuff now. |
