I, too, would recommend the Sony SXRD model. I have the KDS50A2020 and love it. I'd jump on the KDS##A3000 if I could sell my 2020, tho... it's got 1080p/24 and HDMI 1.3.

The Sony KDS60A3000 looks really good. I'd go for that if you don't need LCD or plasma.

The Sony shows 2199 on Fry's website (and appear to be out of stock on Amazon) .. is it a store only offer ?

Otherwise, this tv seems to be a great deal...

What are you looking for in a montor? How big do you want your screen to be? Are you familiar with lcd, plama or rear projecters? I just want to find out alittle of what your looking for.

Here's the story..

The DLP was at my Grandparent's house, which is next door to mine, so I kept my PS3 there and stayed there most of the time. Well, my grandmother died Sunday morning and I don't want to go back in her house. So my parents are looking for a new display to accommodate the PS3.

If you are looking at front projectors, then the Mitsubishi HC4900 is selling for $1400 after rebate ($1899 - $500). You can get a beautiful 1080p image from 90-120 inches without any problems from this display. Build your own screen for $50 or grab a cheap one locally for $100-$150.

I just migrated to this from my 4 year old projector and it's razor sharp, with great colours that pop as well as being whisper quiet.

Good luck
