Default Loving Kijiji Lately

I'm sure most of yas are all tuned into Kijiji by now but it's really been good to me lately - in the past couple days I got:

10,000 B.C.
Appaloosa
Let the Right One In
Slumdog Millionnaire
Changeling
Seven Pounds
The Day the Earth Stood Still (new with old)
Hancock
Yes Man
Zack & Miri Make a Porno
Body of Lies
Bangkok Dangerous

For $70! Not all the best titles, but at about $6.50 each you can't go wrong! Most people watch em once and sell them so usually they're in perfect condition - highly recommend checking out the Kijiji for your area on a daily basis.

not bad but some of us are out of range, plus the idea is go out for blu-ray hunting, it's what drives us blu-aholics, to bbv or rogers cuz you never know what ur going to get.

The idea is go out for blu-ray hunting? It's what drives us? Ohhh...kayyy. I suppose I could consider myself a blu-aholic given that the medium has released a consumerist side of me that I'm almost ashamed of, but let's not get too silly. Go out for drinks, meals, movies, etc. with friends, family and loved ones, and if you don't have any of those, go out to find them (try Kijiji!), let the blu-rays come where they may.

I've pretty much picked my local BBV clean and am not a huge fan of one-disc rental editions, no digital copies and peeling stubborn-ass stickers off the cases shred by shred - I'll take a watched-once, mint-condition retail version (usually hand-delivered to my home or office) over those any day.

Nice take. I really like using ebay for blu-rays and have found some hot deals. However, I'm still uncomfortable meeting up with people whether I'm selling or buying on kijiji. But I guess if you have no qualms about it there are definitely deals to be had. Let the right one in for $6.50 is a steal.

My local rental place sells used blu-rays for $4.99! I picked up Benjamin Button, The Simpsons, Defiance, Taken and National Treasure 2 all for $4.99 each.

Woot, woot!

Yeah, I guess the only thing I don't like about ebay (which probably mostly comes from not using it a whole lot) is having to keep an eye on auctions, trying to work things together for combined shipping deals, that sort of thing. I did just get Sopranos Season 1 from there for $20, so I can see myself using ebay a lot for bigger one-item purchases (e.g. TV series, box sets).

I'm fortunate enough to live in one of Canada's friendliest cities (Halifax) and in the three years or so I've been using Kijiji, I've made probably close to a hundred transactions with nary a bad one. Might help that I live in an apartment building and meet people in the lobby as opposed to in my actual home.
