Default sticky buttons help

ok so i was enjoying a guinness the other night and i accidently spilled it on my harmony one remote. The remote is 100 percent functional except some of the buttons are now sticky. If i take a wet q tip and rub it over the buttons affected the problem is temporally alleviated. Any suggestions for a permanent solution?

Looks like rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs. I was about to say take it apart and clean it, but it seems that these remotes weren't designed to come apart easily.

Ether........

Yeah... use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, and take your time..... don't make it worse than something you can already live with.

i cant find any rubbing alcohol but i will go out and get some. I am a little worried that it may strip some of the lables on the remote though.

Be sure to take the battery(ies) out before cleaning with any type of liquid. Then make sure everything's dry before putting it back in.
Don't want to short anything inside.
Did that to my cell phone when it went through the washing machine.
After it sat in a window for a week I popped the battery in and it powered right up.

They also weren't designed to work while under the influence of Guinness.
