According to movie mail, all 3 movies will be released on June 7, 2010. 20th Century Fox Release. No specs or Region coding info currently available.

Cool, I have the US region-free release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and the transfer for that is pretty good, hopefully this'll be the same!

I just finished watching The Good, The Bad and The Ugly a few minutes ago, and I also thought that it looked good. I can't wait to get my hands on the other two "Dollar" movies.

Great news!
unfortunately the MGM release of "The Good, The Bad.." is not nearly as good as the recent Italian release.
the Italian release is noticeably sharper, and much more filmlike in appearance than the MGM US release.
unfortunately the Italian release doesn't have English subs.
The Italian "A Fistful of Dollars" DOES have English subs, and the English dub, and has been universally hailed as one of the best bds of an older title that exists.
I have it, and it is truly an amazing looking bd.
"For A Few Dollars More" has also been released in Italy without English subs,
and is said to also look very nice.
I can only hope that this Fox version is closer to the Italian versions, and not the mgm bd.

Yeah I was pretty unsatisfied with the US release of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. To much of a waxy, DNR look to it.

yeah, you think the US version is pretty good until you compare.
After you look closely at the Italian version, you realize how much better the US version could have been.

ha, I watched it earlier today as well...

I've not seen the other Dollars movies, are they as good?

They're both classics in their own right, and they're both excellent as well, but nothing comes close to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's the greatest Western ever made.

A Few Dollars More will be interesting as the DVD editions made by MGM were missing one scene and had slight cuts to two others. The German edition by Paramount had a different restoration http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=618

Hi i was think about buying this today but i all ready had the good bad ugly USA REGION BLU RAY version but i was intrested in the other 2 films in the box a fistful of dollars and for a few dollars more.As i was looking i could see that the good bad ugly was not the extended version but it was restored im guessing they mean that the picture and sound is remastered ? i tried to contact MGM but they have no contact e-mails or phone numbers so i could not check also i spoke to 20th centry fox they was not helpfull in my questions.does anyone if uk version is ucut as i dont wana buy it if it is.

also same question for the 2 movies in the set are they cut or uncut ?

I won't be picking up these films on Blu-ray until they're granted the transfers they deserve. Also, both versions of TGTBATU need to be available via seamless branching.

The Italian Fistful Of Dollars, I'd honestly be highly surprised if the PQ could be beaten on this format. Finding a copy...that might not be so easy....

Oh it can be had from EBay sellers in Italy and several Italian online retailers. It is prettuy readily available still. It is the shipping that is killer. If Amazon.it gets it back in stock that will probably be a prime option. I think I read that they have a flat rate shipping cost.
