How do I know Im getting TrueHd? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm curious and I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned, on my fat ps3 it says PCM which is fine, I know it's a hardware issue, but how I really know I'm gettting TrueHD sound from my blu-rays? Any movie I should put on? Etc let me know Thanks

when you playing a movie, hit the select button. it will display what codec the ps3 is decoding and sending as pcm. you may have to select true hd from the movie menu.

As my reciever can decode it i select bitstream and then its nice to see true hd displayed on the reciever.You can only do this if your reciever decodes it though.If it cant you have to select pcm its still true hd but the ps3 is sending it as pcm but theres no difference in what you're hearing.Thats what you get from reading the blu-ray forums
