Keep me updated. I was considering a 3007 for awhile but not really considering it anymore. After all the issues I've had with my 605 model and hearing about other peoples problems with even high-end Onkyo receivers I'm likely buying a Pioneer Elite soon.

Hey guy's just joined the thread!
I've had the 3007 since Feb, 2010 and I cant find anything wrong with this
baby! In Dec, of '09 I got the 807 that used Faroudja high-quality video processing. And had some video issues with it(video processing), exchanged it for another 807. Still same problem! so after reading about the 3007 and
"HQV Reon-VX Chip for High-Performance Video Processing" I got some moore cash together and got the 3007!!! Better Picture Better performance!
Awesome Reciever you wont regret it.

Can you manually tweak EQ settings on the Audyssey like one can with MCCAC?

Definitively not!

* The only manual settings you can do in the Onkyo are from its manual Graphic EQ, and if you use it,
then bye bye Audyssey!

wow the video processing on this thing is nuts, the up conversion is great.....I do have a question about bi-amping....I only have a 6.2 setup as of right now, I want to bi-amp the left and right, but the manual says that to do this I'd need to use the back channels....Now, I'd really like to keep my back channel, is there another way to do this without losing my back channel

Does the front high/front wide not have it's own amp that can be used for bi-amping the front L+R? I'm pretty sure I've read that about the 5007. Not sure if the 3007 qualifies.

It does have seperate amps but the manual makes it seem like u can only use the surround back channels

you can only use the surround back for bi-amping. what i would recommend is if you really want to do anything you are going to have to buy a seperate amp and get it done that way. putting hard, high, real continuous power to your speakers will really wake them up. for your front 3, if you can swing it, i highly recommend the XPA-3. use pre-outs to the amp, connect your front 3 to the amp and us your receiver to roll all of your surrounds (and still be able to use your heights or wides should you choose to later). you would need to re-run the calibration program again they your rolling.

i would recommend doing that over the receiver bi-amping.

hope that helped, keep us posted.

sorry bigdolf, it only has one power amp for your speakers. you would have to sacrifice your surround back channels to bi-amp. get a seperate amp for your front 3 and still be able to use all the other channels you want from your receiver too!

Yea that's what I thought. Everything sounds good for now. I figure ill wait till I got enough money to get the amp and my new front soundstage. My buddy is selling his Polk rti12s. They're six months old. He said he'd give me them 4 500. Is that honestly a good deal
