So I found a good deal on the new Onkyo 507. I want something that can play the new codecs with the PS3, the receiver I have doesn't have HDMI.

I know this one isnt 7.1, but it looks like most the lossless formats are only 5.1 anyway. Is 7.1 really needed? I know the HD movies on cable are all 5.1 too.

has anyone tried this receiver with the PS3?

PS i found it for $262 shipped this looks like the cheapest way to enjoy lossless
