House M.D. Season 6 First-Ever Blu-ray Disc Release

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced this morning that House - Season 6 will arrive on home video August 31st. The 5-disc DVD set will cost $59.98 SRP, with episodes presented in anamorphic widescreen video. Audio will be in English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, with subtitles in English and Spanish. Extras, if any, haven't been revealed yet. Nor do we have package art.
[Show spoiler]On the same day, House will get its first-ever release in the high-def Blu-ray Disc format! Season 6 will arrive on 5 BD's, with video in 1080p widescreen video, and audio in English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. Subtitles in English and Spanish are also present on this version. Cost is $74.98 SRP. Extras and package art aren't available yet for the Blu-ray format release yet, either, but stay tuned and we'll update you just as soon as we can!

Want this on dvd to match 1-5, but the PQ jump is soooo enticing....what to do, what to do...
Get the Blu-ray. Don't understand why people would get the less superior version just to match there collections. I also hate not having them match but I will never get the less Superior version because of it.

You have no idea how crazy this will drive me, it not matching. I will say though if it's too expensive at release I'll just wait until Nov/Dec and hope for cheaper. I never paid more than $14 for a season of House so $40+ is a little hard to swallow. And I really hope this doesn't go the How I met your mother route (seasons 1-3 dvd, 4 blu, 5 dvd?)

Some people are like that including me, i also don't go batshit crazy for blu-ray or HAVE to have someone on blu over DVD, ill pick this up on DVD and if a complete series is announced on blu or S1-5 ill sell off my dvds, i don't enjoy just having 1 season on blu and having the rest on dvd it bugs me
hell i went out and paid 50$ for a 2nd copy of lost S3 on BR just because it had a slipcase on it because i wanted it to match my S1,S2,S4 and S5 sets which is ridiculous but my OCD overpowers common sense

I get what I can get when I can get it... and actually already pre-ordered this a couple of weeks ago from Borders when I had a 40% off coupon. It was about $10 cheaper than Amazon doing it that way and I know I'll get it when it comes out and can stop thinking about it until then
