Default Support Blu-ray on August 28th!

With the loss of Blades of Glory, Blu-Ray will have ZERO new releases that week.

So, I suggest you go to your local retailer, hunt down any Paramount titles you want to own, or maybe plunk down a few bucks on a title you've always wanted. Support Fox and Warner Bros imho, as they both are in need of some love for their current standings.

I'm planning on buying two movies that day. This is above and beyond the Sept 18th day of movie buying that is already posted here in another thread.

I'm with you, I was looking foward to buying Blades of Glory on Blu-ray as well as Transformers, But I will not go to the red side I will buy them on standard DVD, & all this week I will be buying 1-2 Blu-rays a day.

In!

I went to the Target superwhatever store near me to check their selection so I could throw some support that way. Better representation than HD-DVD but they still don't have movies I don't already own. I'll be doing the BestBuy tour and providing free HD consulting services to the noobs that gaze upon the Blu cases!

I own World Trade Center on blu-ray.
The only other discs I want from Paramount are The Untouchables, Misison Impossible and The Italian Job, all of which I will order on August 28th.

I'll order the MI Boxed set and Shooter on the 28th. Don't really want to support Paramount at this point, but I don't want to be without these films on BD. I never had the chance to see MI3 or Shooter in theaters. This will be may last chance for the next 17 months 29 days so I'd better take it.

I think Transformers will look great upscaled on my PS3, I will never buy HD-DVD. If it were somehow to win, I will be buying DVD again, upscaled DVD's will look better than HD-DVD ever will!

I may buy 1 or 2 that day.

That's what they want you to do. They make a larger profit off the DVD and the other version anyway. Why punish them by throwing more money their way.

You don't think they figured all of us blu-ray supporters would just go back and boost their DVD sales? I bought alot of Blu-ray titles I would have never bought on DVD in the first place just to have something to play (I did that with DVD and Laserdisc).

Just picked up Flags of Our Fathers today. I would have gotten Mission Impossible 3 but I'm low on funds. Oh yeah, I bought it at the BB in Arundel Mills (DC/B'more area people would know where that is) and they didn't have the blu-ray version of Blades of Glory.
