Cast Away August 28th? - Blu-ray Forum

On Netflix it says that Cast Away will be released on Blu-ray on August 28th? Is this true? If so, how come no info about it is on this site? I think its fake, but why would netflix have it at august 28th?

Cast Away is an excellent movie. Just because it does not make sense to you does not make it a crap movie

I will buy it if it does come out. Tom Hanks is the man.

Agreed. I will be getting this movie as well. The tropical island scenes should look amazing on Blu-Ray.

This is a fantastic movie! Very well done, if it is released on Blu-Ray (which I doubt Netflix has it right) I will without a doubt buy it.

Folks. This is a FOX film. If it is coming on Aug 28, this would be a mega-huge who-cares-what-the-title-is BFD.

But, being a FOX film makes it suspect.

It is pure eye candy in 1080i and will be even better on BD!

The jet crash scene was quite a sonic workout in DTS. Can you imagine it in LPCM?

Yeah i'll believe it when I see it on the shelf. I would love to see it there this fall though.

I remember when I saw the movie the first time on DVD The beginning of that crash sequence scaring the crap outta me & the wife. BOOM!!

Yeah, the crash scene scared the crap outta me too. For those that just watch it as a movie, you won't get much. However, if you "WATCH" it - you understand what it means.

It's a sad movie. I understand it and relate to it. Again, an excellent Tom Hanks film. I don't think I have ever watched a film with him in it that I did not like.

I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry, but Tom Hanks is not the best actor in this film, it's clearly Wilson. Wilson was extrodinary and is a wonderful actor who should have been nominated for an Oscar. His role in this film was Vital, if you're going to buy this film, then don't lie to yourself, buy it for Wilson.

I still don't understand why he wasn't nominated for anything. His performance was spot on. He's a very determined actor who need to continue with his career. I see big things happening for him... or is it a her?

It was so sad the way Wilson left him in his hour of need. I could hear the tone in Wilson's voice. I cry even now just thinking about how upset he was but he had to do it!
