If this is dumb then you may tar and feather me (no, not literally) but I thought since the first half of 2010 has passed us by, we could give our picks for Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress and Director of films for the first half of 2010. I'll try:
Picture: Toy Story 3 Actor: Robert Downey as Iron Man Actress: Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl Supporting Actor:? Supporting Actress:Moretz could be here I guess...she was so good let's give her both Director: Martin Scorsese for Shutter Island |

No, really...IS there a tar-and-feathering smiley?
![]() (Time flies, though--Forgot that it's already July, and that's traditionally when the Buzzy-Boiz start coming out of hibernation... And then, before you know it, it's November and we STILL can't think of any real contenders.) |

Too bad Princess and the Frog wasn't pushed back to this year. P&TF is better than anything I've seen so far in the last 7 months, including TS3. |

I'll just say this. Right here. And right now.
![]() Yes, because of a disastrously misinterpreted ten-nomination stunt last year, we actually had "District 9" and "Inglorious Basterds" on the B-list for Best Picture, and had doubtless half a million fanboys saying "...See, SEE? ![]() But just because "Basterds" had Christoph Waltz's BSA supporting it up, and D9 was just cribbed off of the Golden Globes for lack of other informed votes that year, does not mean a sudden sweeping support for geekdom within the Oscars. Anyone who is that pathetic enough to think that K*ck-*ss will be remembed by October, let alone the nominations, DESERVES to be hunted down naked with rifles and dogs. There's geeky, and then there's just plain desperate to have something to post. The OP posted it twice, no less, and I leave you to make of that what you will. |
