Default No mention of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

I just picked up the Blu Ray version of Tim Burtons "Corpse Bride" - The video is truly excellent...... I wonder why the movie isnt listed on this site ??????

GREAT Halloween movie (even for the kids)......

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I honestly don't see what's so special about this movie. It bored me to death (no pun intended) and I thought A Nightmare Before Christmas was far superior, story wise.

Comparing anything to a classic like NBX will make it seem like crap. You're setting your bar to high. If you ignore the greatness of NBX, other movies can be decent if you want them to be.

Exactly, NBX the best ever of it's kind so comparisons are difficult.

NBX is my wife's favorite movie and I would love to tell her it's coming out on blu-ray. Has anyone heard anything about it?

It is listed on this site, but it is hard to find because it is filed under "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride."

I agree that the video transfer on both the BD and HD DVD versions of Corpse Bride (same encode) are excellent. I would also agree that the film was merely OK though, it disappointed me a little.

I am still looking for the first Tim Burton movie I don't like. I already owned "Corpse Bride" on DVD and won't likely ever watch the Blu-ray disc. I agree it isn't as good as "The Nightmare Before Christmas", but I liked it. "Big Fish", "Mars Attacks", "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", you name if Tim made it and I have seen it, I like it. The guy is a great film maker in my opinion.

Basically, the movie wsn't even Tim Burton's, it started out as animator Mike Johnson's--
Until Burton came on as x-prod., someone said "Hey, that makes it sorta like NBX! ", Tim was given the reshoots and the Danny Elfman songs were brought in.

Thing about video is, why bother watching movies that remind you of another movie?...

Yeah, the plot isnt the best........ but the videography is Great. I just love the minute detail and the way Tim used color to separate the worlds of the living and dead.......
