Default Could Transformers be on Blu???

I am fully aware of Paramount going HD-DUD but I also know that steven spielberg had a role in Transformers (executive producer) and he is very much in favor of blu. Is it possible that this could unfold as one of the movies that will be on both formats because of a small loop hole no one quite noticed? It was stated that his movies would not be part of the HD-DUD deal.

a lot of people wondered it, but i believe it was announced that by 'his movies' they mean movies DIRECTED by him only.

How long do we have to wait for someone to leak a copy of the actual deal?

Paramount already has said that Transformers will be a HD DVD exclusive! I'm pretty sure the deal is Speilberg "directed" movies that are off limits to HD DVD.

Interestingly enough... There's a preview for Transfomers on Blades of Glory. At the end it says "Coming Soon To DVD. Also Available on Blu-Ray Disc and HD-DVD." I wonder if someone could sue for false advertisement even if the discs were created before the deal went through...

Yea, if we could get a class action suit big enough (more than 150mil) paramount would be forced to go neutral again...........LOL...that would be hilarous. It'll never happen, but it would be great!!!!

Paramount goes HD-DVD exclusive for 150 million.
Paramount sued for 150 million for false advertisment..........LOL!!!!

You folks need to GET OVER it. You will not see it on BR for a loong time so either go neutral like a lot of us have..or let it go and quit with the worthless postings on this

I actually have both formats. I don't purchase on HD-DVD because the players suck so bad. IF you switch off of the input from an HD-DVD while using HDMI (the only way to actually get the correct sound formats aside from an analog connection), you will have to reload the disc. Plus I've hardly ever had any playback problems with Blu-Ray, where as with HD-DVD, there's like a 1 in 3 chance of it not playing properly.

I don't know for sure but I think all of Spielbergs movies that he directed for Paramount/Dreamworks will come out on both Blu Ray/HD DVD.

Tranformers is only HD DVD sad to say as Micheal Bay directed it. The exception to Paramounts agreement only applies to Spielberg directed films, and he only produced Transformers.
