Angry Dented SteelBooks

So I finally opened up my Monsters, Inc. steel that I purchased from Best Buy to find a nasty dent on the front.
Luckily it looks like I'll be able to get an exchange.
Needless to say, I'll be opening all of my SteelBooks from now on.

My question is, how often does this happen to you?
Is there any way to fix it?

It depends on how big the dent is. You can easily fix the small dents when the tinware is not streched by the dent.

I'm OK with tiny scratches and dents, but this is a big-ass dent.

WOW!!! That is a wopper of a dent! From a certain angle, it kind of looks like it has a pimple. Try popping it. I would exchange that in a heart beat!

Pimple! What a gross vision. I can't imagine having a SB looking like this. It's probably the worst dent I've ever seen anywhere in blu-ray.com =[

I'm just glad they have more in stock.

If it had been A Bug's Life that was dented, I'd be screwed.

I never notice dents because I never search for them because I dont care for them because I am not an OCD because I have other hobbies because I have a right to have other hobbies because I am uman being because my parents are humans because their parents were humans ..............
[Show spoiler]

Even if I do see them, (rarely) I dont care even a little bit.

So you're willing to pay a he'll of a lot of money for something that is Brand New when you purchase it, then has a dent when it arrives?

There is nothing more annoying than a dented steel!

I would definitly return it instantly!

When inspecting the steelbooks, you have to do the 360 turn and then inspect all the corners and run your hands across the steelbook to see if you can feel any imperfections.

Needless to say I have never picked a steelbook with any dents from Futureshop. Recieving them in the mail from amazon.fr and .de however is another story

lol, I always tense up when the FS clerks slam my purchases onto the counter while paying, I've told them 'you know those are fragile, right?', to which they respond with a blank look.

Most of mine are perfect, but then I have a few dented ones. I don't worry about it as much since it's not like it's my car dented or scratched.

I care. If there is anyway to exchange I do. So far I've been lucky with not getting ones with dents. I did drop Up and it got dented on the corners. At first I was pissed, then I realized it looked like it was supposed to be that way. This was about 6 months after I got it. I got Toy Story 3 the other day, I know an ironpack, and I exchanged that one because it had scrapes all over the back of it. It's not worth getting if it's in bad condition.
