Default write where it counts

Like all BluRay fans I was angered and disappointed by the Paramount announcement. I urge all BluRay enthusiasts to do as I have started doing: write to the actors whose perfromances for Paramount will be unavailable to BluRay owners. Example - how do you think Harrison Ford will like getting hundreds (or even thousands) of complaints that his two Jack Ryan titles have been cancelled on BluRay? The same for John Tarvolta about his two cancelled BluRay releases. I am confident that BluRay will still win - I just don't want to wait any longer than necessary. (enter an actor's name at, say, ASK or GOOGLE and somewhere you'll find their agent who will certainly pass along your message)

I'm not sure this is a good idea. In most cases these actors don't have any say in what format their movies get released. No point in harassing them. The letters would be better directed at Paramount and Universal execs directly. The people in charge of making the decisions.

Welcome to the forum...however please use the search feature since there are numerous threads on the Paramount deal and this could have been added to many of them.

Once again welcome and enjoy the forum!

Default look to the stars

As a new member of this forum, I am as angered and disappointed by Paramount's move as the rest of you. I urge all of you to do what I have been doing - send messages to the actors in Paramount films whose work will be unavailable to BluRay owners. Example: how would Harrison For respond to hundreds (or even thousands) of e-mails complaining that his two Jack Ryan titles have been cancelled on BluRay? How about John Travolta and his two cancelled discs? There is already no love lost beween Paramount and Tom Cruise, but let him know how angry you are that his three Mission Impossible titles are disappearing and that Top Gun was cancelled. If you go to ASK or GOOGLE and enter an actor's name, at some point yu can find their agent's name and he will certainly forward your feelings.

Isn't this the same post you just made?

Please don't post multiple threads with the same info. Thank you.
