adding the first Resident Evil to my cart instead of the trilogy boxset made me wonder, do other people mind buying only 1 part of a franchise or they HAVE to complete them even if they don't like them
I'm planning to buy the first Matrix and avoid the other 2 too Also, I only bought Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, and will buy the next 2 when they're out! but I may or may not complete the rest. I'm sure I'll buy some of them, but I can't see myself watching the first ones again same goes for studios, directors, etc.. I love Pixar but I don't own Cars and Ratatouille, no plans on buying The Incredibles when it's out too! well, the later 2 I might cave in but Cars, No. discuss |

i'll get them if i like the movies, but don't feel the need to HAVE to HAVE them just b/c they are part of a trilogy or whatever.
the problem i have is "will i want to watch this movie on it's own??" matrix, lotr, harry potter, star wars i've seen enough where i don't have a problem throwing any movie in to watch even if they are out of order. but will i want to watch resident evil 3 w/o watching the 1st 2 1st?? |

Couldn't care less about "completing" a series if I don't like the other movies or seasons in the series.
In that regard, I only own The Matrix and Pirates of the Carribbean, and not the sequels of either. |

I have a question for members that is somewhat similar to this topic:
If you buy a double pack, let's say the 2/$13 going on right now at Best Buy. Do you add those individually to your collection or do you add the set to your collection? The reason I ask is because I have an app and another database used to keep track of my collection. The other database tracks by UPC. If I buy a two-pack though, it comes with it's own UPC and tracks it as one Blu-ray, and the same applies to box sets as well. |

The main reason I ask this is because it was brought up again with the purchase of the Zorro two-pack. It technically isn't a "collection" or box set, just a double feature in a slipbox. The movies are sold individually but my database app adds BDs by UPC, making it one entry. |
