United Kingdom Pan's Labyrinth Special Edition - What's The Difference?

I notice that along with Cronos and The Devil's Backbone, and special edition of Pan's Labyrinth is being released next week:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pans-Labyrin...403783&sr=1-23

But I can't see exactly what the difference between this and the current release is (apart from the price). Anyone know?

I believe it has a new, director-supervised transfer and lossless audio. I don't know if there's anything new in terms of extras.

motion comic is the only new extra
but imo £16 is a bit much for a catalog title.
No matter how much I love this movie I cannot justify that price.

Really? Then clearly you have never visited Finland where pretty much every new bluray release is priced between 25 and 29 euros. Even DVDs are 20 euros. Talk about greed eh?

It's a separate release of the disc from the Guillermo Del Toro Collection. Same video encode as the previous UK release but with lossless audio. Apparently Region B locked though there was some disagreement about that.

DVD and BD prices throughout the Nordic countries are bordering on extortionate. Heck, even CDs I prefer to import as I can find titles for a great deal less, including shipping.

Yeah just yesterday I was checking out the Lethal Weapon boxset(Amazon) for £25. Then checked its price here and was shocked. 50 euros(+ postage) for the exactly same(UK version) package. And that was the cheapest online option, I don't even want to guess the price on the streets.

Really ? Let's hope so.

I'll have to sell my US version (has a great 7.1 lossless soundtrack but DNR also ) and pick this one up instead then.

You could always opt for the Guillermo Del Toro Collection.

£45 for three titles is steep (and I thought £32 for The Godfather trilogy was silly), but the packaging is so pretty...

So is there that much of a difference between this and the old UK one? I don't care about audio but if the pq difference is substantial then I might double dip.

The PQ on the UK one has always been fine and doesn't need an upgrade... as many have said, this new 'special edition' is just the disc from the Del Toro boxset featuring the same video encode but with lossless audio now.

I hate subtitles too, but for brilliant movies like this I suffer through them, because brilliant movies make me smile.
