I kind of expected that release date since Season 1 came out on August 31st last year. I just got Season 1 for $27.49 from Amazon, so as long as I end up liking the show like I expect to, I'll be picking up Season 2 on release day.

Yeah while I wanted them to use the pic that you used for the second one you posted in the VD thread I also thought they would go for the bed pic out of all of them and wasn't expecting the one we got. Still a cool cover though and can't wait for August 30th.

I'm liking the cover art as well. It reminds me of the back of season one's case, but that's not a bad thing.

Really looking forward to this coming out as I just bought and watched Season One a few months ago. Looking back at my post from March, I guess I did end up really liking it.

12 episodes into season 2.

Vamp Wh0re Elena continues to be the crappiest character.

Her actions have now lead to her brother being

(her aunt who she is keeping in the dark about the vamps)

The oldest vampire in existence is after her and she has been told he will kill everyone she holds dear and she still doesn't tell her aunt or ex bf anything

Oh don't get me going about episode 12... Damon leaved her alone to babysit a sick vampire... of course vamp turns on her and she finds an escape through a window in a small room (still full daylight) but she instead stays in the room until after nightfall

And what is with the History teacher who just automatically pals up with the vampires.. just ridiculous.

Oh and I loved that scene in ep 12 when the poor human victims are lying on the road (maybe still alive...) and Elena is not remotely concerned and just leaves them there..

Episode 14 hahaha John calls Alaric (sp?) "Damon's little helper" hahahah pure gold.

Alaric is such a piece of garbage. He has just automatically become a best friend to the vamps. Even accepting their killing people. What a terrible character. What a terrible person.

They are making John out to be the bad guy. But really he is the good guy at this point.

Elena abuses John for trying to kill Damon. But if John had killed Damon, it would have saved innocent human lives. Elena really is a complete Vampire Wh0re. She is willing to let people be murdered as long as she can keep her bf.
