Nice I'll be getting both when they come out. Mill Creeks last Gamera release was amazing for an extremely budget title..

I agree. I've paid 6 bucks during Amazon's sale. Prior to not getting the Blu-rays, I haven't seen any Gamera movies at all. I was pleasantly surprised how good the movies are and it encouraged me to get the Shout Factory DVDs of the films. Mill Creek said for Gamera 3, that they'll include special features in that set. Not sure about Daimajin though.

Good, I enjoyed Mill Creek's release of Gamera 1 and 2.

Um, Mill Creek has not "announced dates" for these titles. "Late October-ish" is not a release date.

Well in technically, yes, but it doesn't matter since they now announced Gamera 3 for September 27th. Still no word on Daimajin yet.

Mill Creek updated their cover art for Gamera 3:

Looks like the cover from the German release. Also, on their site, they said the Blu-ray is region-free: http://www.millcreekent.com/gamera-r...s-blu-ray.html

The boxset only has the double feature of 1 and 2 with 3 having its own disc, case, etc.:

(Taken on Mill Creek's site before it was removed).

Pre-orders are up

The Gamera Trilogy Blu-ray AM ~ $22.49 BB ~ $12.99

Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris Blu-ray AM ~ $14.99 BB ~ $8.99

Depending on what the prices end up being final for Amazon I may get the Trilogy and just sell off the first two just to get the slip box.

Thanks for the tip, bud!

I just bought the box for about $8.50 shipped, after a $5 BB/RZ certificate. It was actually cheaper for me to buy the box that way than the full price of just Iris.

Same. I held off watching the other 2, I'll wait until I got all 3 to watch in one shot.

Check your private message. Also, more news on Daimajin from Mill Creek's page:

We have decided to postpone the Daimajin releases temporarily so we can give it some additional TLC - so expect to see in early 2012. Sorry for the delay, but just want to give the release the appropriate treatment it deserves!
Still good to know that they're still working on Daimajin.
