Default Mi3

Watched my first ever BR film MI3 yesterday. I have a PS3 hooked up to a data projector, against a new painted white wall! The PS3 uses component which is then converted to RGB though a box of tricks I have.

Needless to say the detail was stunning, BUT I think on a proper HDTV (next year next year!) will look even more superb. I even took the bother of arranging my surround sound speaker properly!

I wasn't 'blown away' but enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm happy. I'll be buying Spidey and Pirates Trilogy next after I have my TV so I can enjoy them to the max.

welcome to the blu side. if you thought mi3 looked great wait until you see the pirates and spidey trilogies. when you do get a proper hdtv make sure you use the hdmi hookups for the best pq and aq.

and amen to the post below this one. monoprice is awesome.

theyre cheap and the quality is pretty sick... its good for when you wanna get the longer stuff to run behind your walls youll pay like a fifth of the price

they have projectors that come out in 1080p picture but you would have to be in a very dark room with absolutely no lighting whatsoever

Just wait until you're watching it on a quality 1080p tv with HDMI connections..... oh baby.

M:I-3 is a fantastic Blu. If only it had lossless. To go along with Pirates and Spidey might i suggest Casino Royale, Troy, Wild Hogs, The departed, A Few Good men and If it is still around Shooter.

Well, since you've already gone the projector route might as well go with a 1080p24 projector next year. By which time, the JVC LCos projector will come down in price. You would need to make a proper screen instead of using your wall though.
