MI3 as 2 BD-50 set in Japan!!?

Paramount Japan Blur-ray web site is indicating Mi3 as a 2 BD-50 disc set. I know the US version consists of 2 BD-25 disc set.

Anyone know if that's correct?
If so would, there be an even better PQ??? The extras are already in HD, so what would be added?

As a point of reference, WTC is announced as it is in the US, a 2 disc set with a BD-50 and a BD-25. It really doesn't look like a mistake, and there are also some extras listed on disc 1, aside from the commentary the US disc 1 is pretty much bare bones.
