the "thing" on the cover looks like your Avatar. I have no idea what a chromeskull is, but I am sure it is something you would like.

Todd, his av is from the 1979 Italian horror Zombi 2. After Dark Films/Lionsgate owns the first film but the second film is being released by Image Entertainment. There is a Blu-ray for the first film in Germany, but supposedly it's cut by 15 seconds.

Little known horror movies are usually more misses than hits so I didn't expect much. It was actually a pretty decent horror movie. I am definitely looking forward to part 2.

I enjoyed the first movie and watched it more than once when I rented it. I wish they would release the first movie @ the same time on Blu-ray.

The original had some of the best gore effects I've seen (since the director is a special effects technician this was a must). I enjoyed it, though many thought the amnesic girl ruined the movie.
Hope part 2 is better since the director would have the experience of his first film out of the way.

The part when the girl gets stabbed in the temple and her skin yanks when the knife is pulled out is still stuck in my head..

I liked the first one and own it, so i'm gonna be getting this one.

I heard the deaths in this one are even more sick and creative.

I recently saw the second one and it wasnt bad but I just didnt like it as much but maybe I need to see it more than once. Dont read spoiler if you want to know about Chromeskulls return.
[Show spoiler]The kills were good but I honestly dont remember them being above and beyond the first movie but they were good. I still dont buy it that Chromeskull survived the damaged inflicted on him at the end of the first. He is put into the ambulance and makes a recovery in a few months. He is really messed up and missing an eye but still alive and well. I dunno, it just didnt stand well with me at first viewing.

The First Laid to Rest was a real surprise I liked it much more than I thought I would. I wish this would get a USA release on blu. I will be picking up the second one next week plus its got Danielle Harris in it so I must have it big fan of hers. I will keep my expectations low so I wont be disappointed.

Loved the first one. Hoping the 2nd's blu release pulls in enough money to where they release the 1st on blu ( it's been released in Germany ).

Only in Germany? I loved the first one. In my opinion, it's one of the better slasher movies since the late 80's, early 90's. I still I have my copy on DVD.

I hope the first one is released on Blu Ray soon. Surprised me at how good it was. Hopefully the second one is as good, if not close to as good

Are the UK DVDs for Laid to Rest and Laid to Rest 2 are uncut?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Laid-Rest-DVD-Bobbi-Luther/dp/B001RNXYW0/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1THT4WDFYJRU2&keywords=laid+to+res t&qid=1694691308&s=dvd&sprefix=laid+to+rest%2Cdvd% 2C55&sr=1-1

I'm curious about these films but don't want to spend too much in case I end up disliking them.
