Awesome, Barton Fink. However I already have A Serious Man, don't have any interest in buying Intolerable Cruelty or Burn After Reading, and am not paying for that piece of crap Lebowski release, so hopefully it'll be announced separately soon.

Already have three of the five as standalone releases. I can only hope that Barton Fink gets an individual UK release.

Same here. The DVD was issued in the UK by Universal and Fox in America, while extras were identical the ratios were different - 1.66:1 for the US and 1.85:1 for the UK (according to DVDcompare.net) The French edition by Wildside which had better extras was also 1.66:1. I've no idea which is correct as I've never seen a comparison. Could just be another cheap rush job with the film slung on blu without extras like Intolerable Cruelty

Completely agree - I've got the other four, would love Barton Fink.

I clicked on this really hoping it was the Fox Coens set that was just released in the US with Fargo, Raising Arizona, Blood Simple (even though that's Universal over here) and Miller's Crossing.

Thanks to huzz for the fab and thoughtful pictures!

A blow up of just the audio/subs (listed but not confirmed):

I'm expecting no special features on any of these types of back catalogue titles -I still own my DVDs for that.

Can someone confirm that the extras included with the separate releases of LEBOWSKI and A SERIOUS MAN are included? Are these the same discs?
Thanks.

Sent from Scotland using a computer and I'm sitting on chair that's on a carpet in my livingroom. I just had a bowl of cornflakes (with real cow milk).

Finished watching this great set last night. Loved Big Lebowski(seen before, of course) and Barton Fink. Really really enjoyed A Serious Man and Burn After Reading. Intolerable Cruelty was decent. Coen Brothers are great. I love how they leave many of the endings unanswered which on the other hand can be extremely frustrating. I think Michael Haneke is a bit similar in that context, e.g. Caché and the White Ribbon.

Based on my experience with the films on this set what other Coen films would you recommend? I already own Fargo and No Country For Old Men.

Have you seen 'the man who wasn't there' ? I really enjoyed that. And also 'miller's crossing'

I've just imported 'o brother, where art thou?' and the blu looks stunning.

Default so tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for fink

i'm a usa guy just waiting for fink to be released on bluray here. you can't even watch the dvd on an hd tv because it's so blurry. (blurry, not bluray. strangely close words.)

barton fink has seemed as if it was going to become available in the u.s. starting around november, but i don't know the story but it's never going to get a release date it seems.

i've never shipped an amazon order overseas. is that possible? yes, i'm ... stupid. i just have never done it tho. would that be a big shipping payout? just curious if anyone on this board has ever shipped to the united states or from it. i have a lot of the movies in this set but if it's a good enough deal i could just give some away. (have all coen movies on dvd or videotape but find their movies essential to upgrade.) from this set, the ones i don't have on bluray are fink and intolerable cruelty, neither of which are available here in the states, and fink is just my all-time favorite movie, and i love all of their movies pretty much equally. stupidly, i just upgraded burn after reading.

anyway, just curious. growing impatient with these release dates!

I purchased it from zavvi for 14.95 (http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/the-coe.../10549758.html) and had it shipped to the US. There were no shipping charges, so it rounded out to about $22 USD (It took a couple of weeks to get here, but it was a bargain!)

You can also order the German version of Barton (Same disc as the UK set, different packaging) from grooves-inc.de with free shipping for $15.36 USD (http://www.grooves-inc.de/john-turtu...896727452.html)

I use both sites a fair amount and have had no problems. The US Fox dvd of Barton is horrific to watch (There was some kind of frame rate/aliasing problem), so the blu-ray (Not a perfect transfer, but good) is a godsend.
