Isn't this new?? Or have they done this before?
Shadow delineation on this 1080p/MPEG-2 encode (versus VC-1 on the HD DVD) is really quite impressive, at least in the early parts of the film http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/283/gothika.html Last edited by Iron Man; 10-01-2007 at 08:00 AM. |

It appears at first that he is saying the shadow delineation in the mpeg-2 is better than the vc-1, but when you read the hd dvd review it becomes clear that isn't what he meant, as it says "Shadow delineation on this 1080p/VC-1 encode (rare for a Warner title these days, it's not identical to the MPEG-2 Blu-ray) is really quite impressive, at least in the early parts of the film." |

Um, I just watched this one a couple of days ago. It was VC-1 with the typical Warner bitrate.
