Lair - Video Issue

For those of you out there that have been playing Lair. Do you have an issue with the video brightness?

I'm having trouble seeing the screen unless the room is completely dark whereas with other games/movies/etc I have no problem.

Also, the blurred black effect on the top and bottom of the screen gets semi annoying, takes away from the impressive graphics that could be shining brightly on the screen.

Yep. It's not your TV, it's the game itself. The artistic style is far too heavy on contrast to the point of unwatchability sometimes.

And yes, the darkness blur on the corners of the screen is pointless and vastly annoying.

Well, good to know that it's at least not some weird contrast issue on my projector...course I knew it had to be Lair since everything else looks great and vibrant.
