I was beginning to think the same thing. With the launch of more BD players and the introduction of DL discs, many companies that have announced movies will most likely wait until then to debut them.

October can't get here soon enough!

Altho Toshiba is the only manufacturer for HD DVD players today (there are 2 models in the stores now).

I don't get it. Why do the studios delay their Blu-ray Disc releases? Why is HD DVD promotion far more present then BD promotion?

There have been some mixed report on the exact date that the Poseidon HD DVD is coming out. It now appears that it won't be day & date but instead will come out on 12/5.
