Default List of movies with Shaky Cam that make you dizzy

It's frustrating to get motion-sick or dizzy in a car, or on a boat, but now it seems more and more movies are causing this feeling. Have you seen a movie that made you dizzy??? While I singled out "shaky-cam" in the title, I'm referring to any camera style (e.g fast cut action, panning and zooming, etc.) that might make you dizzy. I didn't see a list out there already, so please help me build a list so that those of us who get motion-sick can avoid these movies!

Battle: Los Angeles
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Blair Witch Project
Chronicle
Cloverfield
Contraband
District 9
Green Zone
Halloween (2007)
Hunger Games
Irreversible
Paranormal Activity
Project X
Quantum of Solace
Safe House
The Adventures of TinTin
The Blair Witch Project
The Bourne Supremacy
The Bourne Ultimatum
The Grey
The Raid Redemption
United 93

TinTin? Shaky Cam?

The only film I've suffered a headache from was Bourne Ultimatum, but I guess a decent one to add is Battle: Los Angeles

I was about to get sick on the first 30 minutes of Hunger Games. It got better after they left the district.
I don't understand why they do this if it's not a home made video, like Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield.

None. They don't make me sick or queasy or nauseous or anything.

none of them make me dizzy and I can follow everything but I still hate them nonetheless

just a poor substitute for real action

I like them when it makes sense. Sometimes in a war movie or something where it helps with the feeling of chaos and confusion. I just hate when they use shaky cam for no reason. Like theres movies where the camera's all over the place in a two-person dialogue scene.

Yep, this film definitely made me dizzy. The boat scene with the rocking back and forth and the way the action scenes were cut, I had to turn it off part way through.

And that's a bummer about Battle: Los Angeles. I heard it had great lfe, guess I'll never find out.

Battle Los Angeles probably has the worst shaky cam I've ever seen. It's almost impossible to tell what's happening and who's who during the action scenes.

Quantum of Solace is also pretty bad in that regard.

That is exactly what high intensity close quarters combat is like Battle: Los Angeles brought it to life.

Speaking of Cloverfield. I remember when I went to go see it in theaters, they had a sign at the Box Office which said the following movie may cause nauseousness or a dizzy feeling viewers advised.

You can add Rob Zombie's "Halloween" (2007) to your list. It's used minimally (mostly towards the end of the film). I don't seem to mind it, but I can see why it would bother some.

Arrrrrgh, shakey-cam...the worst thing to happen to cinema in the last decade this side of Teal & Orange.

As I have gotten older, I have become quite prone to motion sickness . . . never had it when I was younger.

i love giant monster movies, but Cloverfield damn-near killed me. I saw it in theaters, and when it was over, I went outside and sat in a blizzard for 10 minutes waiting for the dizziness and nausea to pass.

I don't do shaky-cam movies anymore. Not all make me sick like Cloverfield did . . . It is also a technique I find over-used and a poor substitute for proper movie-making. When I found out Chronicle was a "found footage" movie, it became a non-see for me.

Funny, but handheld shaky camerawork has been around a lot longer than a decade

But it's only hit the mainstream in the past decade and became the way it's used today.

Although I do not get sick in anyway I still think it can ruin the moment has I feel it's lazyness on the directors part. But this isn't all that new just used more today.

The first film I can remember that used it really bad was at the end of the first Leathal Weapon film with the fight between Riggs and Mr Joshua. You could barely tell what was going on.

Maybe the biggest reason why I wouldn't own most, if not, all of those listed before with the exception of The Adventures of TinTin. Due to the fact that I own that movie and I STILL haven't watched it yet

I think that there's an agreement that this "Shaky-Cam" (or what some in Hollywood label as a "Found Footage" genre) while at HOME, compared to that of your viewing experience in the Theatre is not so bad after all.

I've seen those labeled in bold (top list) on TV either at home or someplace else (not in the Theatre)and didn't feel too uncomfortable. I do have to say that this style or technique used in Hollywood should be done very seldomly. I think there were brief parts in Saving Private Ryan that used this and it was done very effectively. But to be done throughout an entire film or for most of it seems very poor, IMHO
