I currently have a Duracell 2gb flash drive but the part that sticks into the USB is loose so it no longer works anymore.
Looking to buy another one. What's the best brand for one? Something not too expensive and won't break easily. |

I have used (I buy stuff for users in our company aswell) Kingston and Sandisk. No complaints.

I like the Kingston ones with the "swivel" cases that protect the USB connector; I think they are well-made and durable flash drives.
Ones like these (not sure what the difference is between these two models) http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digit...ds=flash+drive http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Hi-sp...ds=flash+drive |

Keep in mind that my experiences are anecdotal and may not be representative of the product(s) in general.
![]() My lone experience with SanDisk was an unfavourable one. Bought a Cruzer a few years back. Had no interest in their pre-installed software, so I formatted it. Result: neither my home or work PCs could detect it, so I downloaded the software from their website, re-installed it, then returned the drive for a refund. My track record with Kingston was pretty good for a while. All of my Taiwanese-made DataTraveler I drives work without a hitch, but the one manufactured in mainland China died after a handful of uses; after this unfortunate experience, I switched to hp v125w (pictured below; manufactured in S. Korea) and really happy with the switch. ![]() |
