Default Transformers on DVD: Why I Hate DVD Exclusives

Paramount making the most of it - and again the consumer loses out.

This isn't really localized with Paramount . . . this has been standard practice for a couple of years.

Actually, it's mostly just still pictures from the comic books or something from what I'm told.

I just watched it a few hours ago. It is indeed slightly animated still frames from a comic. In spite of the press releases that say it is narrated by Peter Cullen, it is, in fact, mostly voice over by Bumblebee (I think by the film's voice actor), with bits by others including Cullen.

It is about 20 minutes, and not too bad. A few disconnects with movie plot. I am not sorry I got it, but not particularly glad either.

i agree with store exclusives the consumer looses out by not getting the content they want. however, it is a business and this way the retail stores can diferentiate themselves and the studio gets increased sales as a result. hard to fight the $

That is the point, sell as many copies of a movie as many times as possible. Of course that being the case, why did Paramount drop BLU?

This whole Paramount/DW deal really made me lose interest in getting this movie. So I'm not even going to buy it on DVD even though I thought it was a fun and entertaining movie.

-1 customer for Transformers (until the Blu-ray is out)

Stop complaining

Blu Exclusive

Simpsons
Casino Royal
Pirates movies
Spider Man's

and countless others.

Options:

1. If you hate HD-DVD exclucives maybe you should stick to DVD till the war or.
2. Take it like a man / woman and stop whining.

I Bought it on dvd and i was mad because there were a lot of blackness around the movie on some of the scenes even with it being at widescreen and 2:40:1 so paramount did a bad job on the dvd and the sound kinda sux

I LOVE BLU-RAY

DVD - 4.5Gb

HD DVD - 30Gb

BLU-RAY - 50Gb

Huge diference huh?

more to put on a blu-ray disc instead of a more little dvd and a little HD DVD

Blu-Ray kicks ass and it's going to win this war cause look at a lot of these companies going for blu-ray its a win win situation if you go with blu-ray

I'm glad i joined up with the baddest and most exellent group of people/company & THAT IS BLU-RAY
