PCM on DVD? - Blu-ray Forum

I just found that the new Coheed and Cambria CD, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow, will have a bonus DVD which includes:

Deluxe edition bonus DVD
"Mother Superior (Taylor Guitars Performance @ NAMM 07 - PCM Stereo)"
"Kitchen Jam (PCM Stereo)"
"Cuts Marked In The March Of Men (Original Acoustic Demos - PCM Stereo)"
"A Favor House Atlantic (Original Acoustic Demos - PCM Stereo)"
"From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness (Original Acoustic Demo - PCM Stereo)"
"The Suffering (Original Acoustic Demo - PCM Stereo)"
"Always And Never / Welcome Home (Original Acoustic Demo - PCM Stereo)"
"Tour Photo Album (PCM Stereo)"
"Always And Never / Welcome Home (AUDIO BED)"

I didn't know it was possible to put PCM on DVD.

It's called a CD. CD's are PCM just 16/44.1K (x2).

Is DVD-Audio the same as PCM? Or do DVD-Audio players just send it to the reciever as PCM?

DVD can also support up to 8 channel PCM on the disc, unfortunately only analog out decks are the only ones that support it, so no one has ever done it (plus forget video then)

DVD-Audio is like Dolby TrueHD, but yes it ends up as PCM when it hits the reciever over HDMI
