This really is a great show! I still don't understand why most people didn't seem to like it.

People on the Repub side got very upset when he attacked the GOP and the Tea Party. LOL, of course, by "attacked," I mean he told the truth about them. Even here in California, there are are a few areas that are very heavy Republican. Orange Country/San Diego is one area...San Jose is another. And they really - I mean, REALLY - hate Dems and the President.

FINALLY!!

I loved this show. The first few episodes I wasn't too sure about it - it was just a lot of people yelling at each other. But then it found its stride and I loved it. It has the classic Sorkin banter and the storylines are dramatic yet fun. Can't wait for season two!

Me, either. 10 shows wasn't enough, and waiting untril June 2013 for the second season is unbearable.

The getting Osama bin Laden show was great, as was the one where he called the Tea Party "the American Taliban."

I still don't care much for Emily Mortimer and the whole triangle with Jeff Daniels and the other guy. But I have really grown to like Olivia Munn and Kelen Coleman. But most of all, I love how Sorkin can just dazzle me with his writing. Best writer of his kind since Norman Corwin.

I have already watched the whole first season twice on HBO.

Are you also a fan of "The West Wing"? If you haven't seen them, check out "Sports Night" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip".

Munn is fun on this show. and I'm pretty much in love with Kelen Coleman.

I was disappointed in the casting of Mortimer. Marisa Tomei was originally cast in the role, and I think she would have been great. Mortimer is ok, and has grown on me a bit, but I can't help thinking how Tomei would have done.

Had a blast watching Newsroom this past summer (and because of it, watched Broadcast News). Not likely to pick this up since I don't generally buy television shows, but anyone who hasn't seen this show should give it a chance.

Even very liberal critics hate the show.

The Newsroom and Girls were two of my least favorite shows last year haha. But I adore True Blood and Boardwalk Empire. My HBO subscription is a balancing act.

Even with access to HBO Go, I still like to own most of their series, especially with the seemingly now standard $35/release week thing they've had going for awhile.

I've only seen the pilot for this series, but I enjoyed what I saw and think the season would make for an interesting weekend marathon.

I wouldn't worry about the price. When it actually matters (release day), it will likely be $35 like HBO's other hour long shows go for.

This was a blind buy for me.
I know that the price tag is high. But the word HBO puts my mind at ease. Even if I don't like the series I will have a series with good PQ and sound.

My set should arrive on 18th of June.

Could anyone possibly post what the packaging looks like for this set? I'm rather curious to see it.

I received Newsroom: The Complete First Season in the mail from Amazon.com yesterday and the packaged looked. Since it involved with media and politics, I can't wait to watch it.

Amazing seeing multiple HBO titles coming back into print after the crash-and-burn of HBO Max/Max/HBO Max.

They put almost their entire library OOP on physical media when HBO Max first launched. Glad to see them admitting their mistake there.

Either it'll be a normal case since it's only 9 discs, or it'll be a jumbo DVD case if WB's being stupid lol
