United Kingdom Texas Chainsaw 3D (May 27th, 2013)

Amazon have this up for a May 27th, 2013 release.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Texas-Chains...2168025&sr=8-1

How was it? Didn't really hear much about it when it was out at the cinema. I'm guessing it was critically panned!!

It was critically panned, yes, although I liked it. I'll definitely be buying this.

Very good in my opinion. Mostly used for depth with only a few pop-out effects.

Intrigued to check this out despite the bad reviews. Always been a fan of the Texas Chainsaw series.

It's mostly flawed with the logic and the timeline. Ignoring that, you still get some good moments of suspense and gore. So, it's not a total fail.

It followed the trajectory of most horror releases... it opened big (in the U.S, atleast), then went rapidly downhill in the second weekend...

seriously, just check out these numbers...

Has anyone heard anything about the special features? I've heard some great things about the features on the recent US release, particularly those featuring old cast members from the original film and the original sequel, but I can't seem to find any information on the UK release.

I see loads of features have been rated by the BBFC (under components list), and it would be pretty silly to pay to get them rated and not put them on. I'm a little concerned that perhaps some features may be exclusive to dual 3D & 2D release, as is an annoying trend of late. It would be nice to know before pre-ordering, if anyone has any information.

the standard release seems to be cheapest on Asda & Sainsburys £12.97 & £12.99. 3D version is cheapest on Sainsburys £14.99

I think the 3D + 2D version is cut because when leatherface peels the cops face off it cuts to a shot of leatherface before he completely removes it.

Also when watching the 2d version on the 3d Blu i noticed a strange red tint on the corners of the picture in the darker scenes.

So you're confirming the 2D only is uncut but the 2D/3D is cut and the 2D option on the 2D/3D has inferior PQ to the 2D only??

I dont know if the red tint is on the 2D only blu as i dont own it. Someone did a comparison on the UK 2D version and they say it IS the unrated.

Im getting rid of the 3D blu and going for the 2D.
