Still don't think this show is necessary.

Yep. We already have OUAT, we don't need more. Good way to burn out the show and premise.

Trailer added.

Interesting spin between Burton's version and almost a feeling of American McGee's sometimes.

I am intrgiued and will definitely give this a chance, and not only because of the link to OUaT.

I don't think this will make it. They should have done this after the first season when the buzz was still hot. OUAT started big and rapidly faded away. Hopefully the 2 blocks of 12 episodes will help restore.

I think this looks actually good! It could be better than OUAT.

It's true that the ratings aren't what they used to be, but the demo rating for the finale was still pretty solid.

With that said, I don't think this was necessary either even though I'll likely watch it based on my love for what they accomplished with Once Upon a Time. I watch the show on Blu-ray, so I don't know anything about Season 2, but still.

Thursday at 8:00 has been a death slot for ABC in recent years. This season both Last Resort and Zero Hour failed, last season Charlie's Angels and Missing failed, in 2010-2011 My Generation failed, and in 2009-2010 both FlashForward and The Deep End failed. The last show to do decent in that spot was Ugly Betty, and that was before CBS had The Big Bang Theory there and Fox had X-Factor and American Idol.

OMG! Alice allegorically in a sanitarium? That's so mindblowing! That's so completely new!--No one's EVER done that before!

And if the Knave of Hearts--who had exactly one line...ONE LINE...in the original book--is now a "supporting character", given Disney, I'm guessing they're using Tim Burton canon as the bible. Someone really ought to tell them, by now.
(But at least, they did remember to keep the genies, pirates and mermaids from the story.)

i think alice has already been done to death beween the cartoon, the new movie, alice mcgee video games, and once upon a time's mad hatter episodes.

i don't see how they could draw it out for 10+ episodes, but the trailer was eye catching with those graphics and all

I liked this better when it was supposed to air during Once's winter hiatus. As its own show, I'm not sure it can hold its own. This must take place either before
[Show spoiler]Regina sends Cora through the looking glass or after Cora left
, but I hope they eventually get Barbara Hershey on the show as the Queen of Hearts. It would be nice to have the Mad Hatter appear, but Sebastian Stan is probably busy with Captain America 2 right now.
