Default Best video and audio quality?

If I were to go out today and purchase the one Blu-ray movie that would totally blow my eyes and ears out, quality-wise, which one would it be?
In other words, which current Blu-ray movie has the best video and audio quality?

Default Rv

I just finished the review for RV and I think it is the title that BD fans have been waiting for. The presentation is stellar. Surprisingly the extras are all in high definition and look great too. By far Sony's best effort to date.

The trailer for Black Hawk Down also looks promising.

chad,
i'd like to ask if you are reviewing with the corrected sammy or the old one still?

After comparing both HD and BD releases of Training Day, I'm not convinced that there is anything wrong with the Samsung's ability to resolve 1080i, outside of Faroudja's chroma filtering. Viewing the hidden resolution chart on Sony titles, the pattern was rock solid at 1080i, letting our Sony FP do inverse telecine to recreate the progressive (1080p) framing. Outputting 720p, however, showed significant roll off, which I'm guessing is where the genesis chip problem reported by one puplication may come into play. A complete list of our review components can be found at the bottom of each review on the Spot. For my HD DVD and BD reviews, audio and video are both passed via HDMI, which I believe is optimal for this player, despite what has been reported elsewhere in regard to the players video output.

IMO the best sound and pic. from blu ray was either Stealth (first pick) or Training Day.

Of the collection.... (9 disks now)

Best to worst PQ
Good Night and Good Luck(But it's in B&W. )
Training Day
Underworld Evo
Last Waltz
Terminator

Best sound, any of the Sony ones with uncompressed PCM. Underworld Evo is a good example.

RV? Yeush! Of all movies...

I watched The Terminator yesterday for the first time. The PQ of this movie blew me away, not because it was the best HD content that I've seen or anything, but how good the movie looks for its age. This 1984 film looked better than a lot of HD that I have seen.

As far as The Last Waltz goes, how is that movie? I thought about picking it up as it is one of the 4 titles I don't have. What are some thoughts on the PQ and sound?

This post makes me want to run out and buy a Blu-ray player and RV to check this disc out for myself. Seriously, these are the kinds of comments I've been waiting to read regarding a BD. If Sony and the other BD supporters can put out a handful of other titles as good as you say RV is then I'll be back in the Blu-ray game soon.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Glad to lend a hand.

I was really surprised at the presentation of RV myself. I've seen a number of good BD presentations. In fact about all of Warner's qualify. But, this one really jumped off my screen. Grain was still a tad noisier than some of the very best HD DVDs I've seen, but that may be innate to the photography. It was a really well rounded disc that actually made it fun for me to watch extras again.

I also just saw the trailer for Click and it looks like it could be a stunner as well.

We'll see.

Isn't Click supposed to be a day and date release?
