Though it wasn't up to the level of the first film (seriously, what's a MACHETE movie without boobies?!), it's still criminal that this movie tanked. If I don't get MACHETE KILLS...IN SPACE!, my life will be incomplete.

I agree. If they can spit out trilogies for Insidious and Paranormal Activity , I'm sure they can find a way to complete this Machete series.

I used a free pass to see this one and I still feel ripped off. Total stinker. Not even close to how great the first one was. I'd wait for the $5 bin if you are doing a blind buy!

Exactly. Hollywood is a business, and making money is their main priority.

Plus why this film cost near $40 million is beyond me. But I haven't seen it yet.

Production budget was only 20$ million. I imagine a LOT of it was spent on marketing.

plus ''the underrated One'' Danny Trejo himself

an ''A'' cast list like this film should have cost even more !!! it's good money spent !!

It opened on the same day as GRAVITY and CAPT. PHILLIPS. Even though Machete 2 was MILES better, the masses didn't think so.

Does anyone know the chances of a Trilogy boxset being released after Machete 3? Hopefully a Steelbook Trilogy with a slipcase instead of a boxset.

And I was there on opening day. Me and three other people. This one rare time, the masses were right on.

Still waiting for about a $10 price point for this, it's been way too high price-wise so far for me to get it.

Yes. I really like Rodriguez. He's a talented guy. Grindhouse was a blast and I absolutely love the Machete trailer in that film. But Machete Kills is really weak.

i LOVED the first Machete film. I like RR films. But this...this...?
this falls prey to the ''sequel'' curse.
Not as good as original, and the 3rd looks even worse.

amongst all the OTT violence and gore, they couldn't get actresses to show boobage - "exploitation"?? hah! (I think not).

I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd movie is a) not made, or b) made as a 'direct to video' release.

I am afraid I will be wasting my money on this but I will probably buy this on day one, hopefully it will at least give a cheap laugh or two.
