20th Century Fox has revealed the Red Band trailer for Let's Be Cops, the Luke Greenfield-directed action comedy starring Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Johnson, Rob Riggle, Nina Dobrev, James D'Arcy and Andy Garcia.

The August 13 release is the ultimate buddy cop movie except for one thing: they're not cops. When two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party, they become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted “heroes” get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

I liked Damon Wayans Jr on Happy Endings. So this could be good. I liked his fathers work too.

I sound like a broken record when it comes to these things, I just didn't find any of it funny.

Well... I just don't know about the "Where did you get that?" "On Ebay" situation. I do believe that pushes the 'suspension of disbelief' a little bit TOO far for me. I still like my comedies to be founded in the realm of reality unless they are blatantly designed to be zombie/sci-fi in nature.

I love New Girl--and that's definitely not because of Zooey. These two are hilarious. I'll definitely check this out in the theater.

Looks pretty hit-or-miss, could be hilarious or it could be horrible. I'll check it out though, part of me really wants it to be good.

Hope this doesn't flop, this is the third buddy cop comedy this year. I think it is different enough to be a success.

Might go see this next Monday. Planning on seeing ninja turtles in 3d tomorrow then maybe guardians of the galaxy finally on Saturday.

I just saw it. Beyond hilarious. I was laughing the whole way through and the movie had a really surprising awesome third act.
