I wouldnt count on this coming out seeing that MGM postponed all thier other 2007 releases. I'm hoping for a release but dont be surprised if we hear something from MGM that it is being postponed by monday

Just received "Rescue Dawn" on Blu-ray from Frys.com today. Looks like it has a very high bitrate for a new live action movie: AVC@34MBPS

I'll be posting a mini review on the PQ and AQ after I watch it tonight.

P.S. Anyone else that gets the movie early can post their comments here as well.

well I guess we don't have to speculate on wether it's getting canceled like other MGM titles.

Ok wow they just changed the "Same day/instock" message to "Pre-order". That sucks.

Just thought I would post about this release. I did a search and found very little on the site about it. I have not watched the movie yet, but took the time to jump through it and was very happy with the PQ. A solid 5/5. It actually would be a good demo disc.

It was a blind buy for me, so I don't know if the film is good or bad, but I will watch it tonight. It's in a 1:85 aspect ratio so filling the screen with the high quality PQ again makes it a great demo disc for potential Blu buyers that don't understand the benefits of 2:35/2:40

Oh, it also has lossless audio.

Great movie IMO... it has Christian Bale in it, 'nuff said. Any movie he has been in has been a solid movie.

I thought it was a very good movie with great performances by Bale and Zahn. It's the kind of movie that would have no replay value for me though.
