Wink more director's cut please

Hi Guy's,
Good to see some more titles coming out as director's cut of the films, but why don't studio's apply the practise of having both the original and extended version on the one disc with all the extras?
I also noticed the Blade Runner will be released containing 5 discs. Blu-ray could handle all 5 different versions of the movie on one disc? Or i am very much mistaken?
Can Blu-ray achieve this as it worked a treat with The Abyss on the standard format. I see some titles such as Die Hard 4 and Independance Day out as original theatre release when it would appeal to a the wider public if you had the two versions of the film the watch.
Finally are there more titles coming out as extended versions, such as Troy and saw 4?
I hope this post is in the right forum, sorry if it isn't guy's

We could do with that DC cut of King Kong, it was long enough to start with!

I wish we got the theatrical version of Payback. I hate the director's cut. Destroyed the movie in my opinion. Guess that's paramount for you.

its possible using the seamless branching technology, where it pieces together the movie from a collection of different scenes on the disc. Just like close encounters does it.

And Spider-Man 2 (or, I guess 2.1). Does anyone actually know if ID4 is only containing the theatrical cut for sure? From what I can tell, no one knows.
