Default Engadget are HD-DVD Zealots

Man after reading their article on how WinDVD just got certified for profile 1.1, I am 100% convinced that they are truly HD-DVD zealots. Their article is so immature and unprofessional with the headline "WinDVD gets Blu-ray Profile 1.1 certification, whatever that means" You have got to be kidding me that this is a real article. Check it out for yourself and especially read the highlighted parts.

Although we don't use them around the Engadget HD labs, we love HD movie playback software for the computer. Not only does it enable the enjoyment of HD movies on a computer, it also opens up the possibilities to free our favorite movies, but most of all cause it is also easy to update when new features become available. WinDVD has been around for some time and now it appears that in early 2008 -- yeah we know real specific -- it may be the first Windows software to support Blu-ray's profile 1.1 features like PIP. Sounds like a non-announcement doesn't it? Seriously, no real date, but what we really want to know is how something can get certified at something it can't even do yet -- sounds like Blu spin to us.

The only thing I see is "early 2008" that could be spin...a little bit of a stretch.

Each side has thier own supporters / promoters. I don't count on Engadget for Blu-ray news so I wouldn't worry about it. Just go to the sites you like.

Exactly. Everyone who reads Engadget for HD news should easily see the Red shade.
Just like anyone joining our forum will be blasted by Blu light!

I don't know much about this particular site, but why does this board seem to always claim that all other sites are HD-DVD biased? Are there any sites that this board deems BD biased or neutral?

I hate that website. It reminds me of some 360 fanboys blog..

I've seen much worse articles.

The site's very bias IMO.
