Default Howling II (1985) Scream Factory Blu-ray

Scream Factory has officially said Howling II (1985) is coming to Blu-ray. Some people despise this film but me, I actually personally enjoy it for what it is. Christopher Lee and Sybil Danning star as well as it having a strange feel throughout. I love the Transylvania setting.

Love it. Hate it. It's coming.

BTW I searched for a thread and couldn't find one so here it is.

Yes!!! How can you not like it? I mean, it's so much fun and batshit crazy insanity. The only reason people don't give it a chance and think it's awful is due to the unfair comparison to the original one…I don't know, maybe it's just me and the fact that I like bad movies.

Please make this a nice Collector's Edition to go with the first film...and any bonus featuring Sybil Danning PLEASE!

It's such a bad movie but I feel like there's a good chance I'll buy it anyway.

Damn my 80's kid soul.

I saw Sybil Danning this past weekend at Monsterpalooza and she said she just finished up a feature this release. I'm guessing either a behind the scenes feature or commentary track or both, guess we will see, either way I'm looking forward to it.
She is Awesome.

Your last post was 3½ years ago, and you return with this?

Let's hope Scream! Factory follows up with a BD of the third one. Oh, and maybe a double feature with the Ginger Snaps sequels - but those are (mostly) unrelated.

I never watched my DVD copy. With bonus features like this I suppose now is a good time to finally see this thing.

Damn, I was really hoping for some interviews with actress Annie McEnroe (who also appeared in "Beetlejuice" and not much else since) and the late Christopher Lee, who reportedly apologized to "The Howling" director Joe Dante while filming "Gremlins 2."

Once again the Arrow has much better compression and grain, though it's also much brighter for whatever reason.

It almost seems like the same transfer, between the Arrow and Scream Factory. I actually prefer the SF for the darker picture, but both seem identical.

If you want the Blu-ray you better act now, it’s going out of print.

I can't decide on getting this or not. I love the first Howling but with this being considered such an awful movie generally speaking and with how bad the later sequels are I just don't know if I'll like it.

I actually like it more than Howling I and loads more than III (thats as far as I've gotten).
Its campy, and weird and over the top, but its a great party WTF movie, unlike the others imo

Almost everything I've seen about it screams (or howls I should say ) I will love it. 1985 was a great year for horror too. F**k it! Just placed an order.
