Strange issue while watching BD on PS3

While watching Blu-Rays on my PS3, every once in a while the menu just pops up for no reason (the triangle menu - where you can change audio tracks, subs and what not). The controllers no where near me, so I'm not accidently pressing anything. Anybody have any ideas?

I have never had, seen, nor heard of this issue. Is it on all discs or just one?

happened on 2001 and Blood Diamond. My wife says it happened while watching SD disks as well.

I had this issue. I can't remember the resolution though. I think you have to turn of your contollers to stop it from poping up. I found the resolution somewhere on the sony ps3 forum site.

I wonder if one of your controllers might have a button that's sticking a little. Or if you have another device in your house that recreates the signal being sent by that button.

The only explanation is ghosts. With any luck though, you'll be able to get the ghostbusters next year to assist you with your problem.


EDIT - After reading through some Playstation Forums, it seems like it's some bluetooth interference and it's really fixable other than turning off your remote durng playback.

Hold down the PS button for 3 seconds and then it will bring up the option to Turn Off System and Turn Off Controller. Obviously pick the controller option.
