Anchorman's commentary was different. I didn't care for it, but if you've heard a bunch of them, and want to hear something unique, give it a shot. It's just a bunch of goofy guys being goofy. They even invite Any Richter and Lou Rawls, even though they have nothing to do with the movie

My favourite ones are:
John Carpenter & Kurt Russell - The Thing Catriona MacColl & David Warbeck - The Beyond John Carpenter & Kurt Russell - Escape From New York Worst? Not sure but I've always struggled to make it all of the way through most of the James Bond commentary tracks (they usually tend to be incredibly dull imo). |

My favorite, hands down, is Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez in the first Resident Evil. Hilarious. It's the only commentary I've listened to several times.
The worst is anything where they just describe what's happening on screen for the entire movie (like The Exorcist). |

The Superbad commentary is worth a listen. About half way into it Jonah Hill and Judd Apatow have a fight about Jonah cursing infront of Judd's daughter. After so long Judd and his daughter leave the commentary.
Whether the fight was real or for the commentary who knows. |

not the best but i watched Ben Affleck's commentary on The Town extended cut/alternate ending the other night. you can see why hes a good director, extremely informative entertaining commentary track. recommended for those that like the movie.

The Blu-ray of Boogie Nights has two commentary tracks, and one is amazing and one is pretty dull.
The good one is just PTA going through the film, and It's one of the most absorbing commentaries that I've heard. The bad one is PTA with a variety of guests, and it eventually becomes a track of aimless noise and conversations without context. |

I'm surprised to not see any nomination for Mallrats under best: that commentary session is a scream. Honorable mention: UHF. Al and the director are a real pleasure to listen to. For worst I'll suggest two: -Star Wars OT because Ben Burtt won't shut up about his stupid sound effects, to the detriment of anything else. Probably best illustrated by Vader betraying the Emperor in RotJ: instead of hearing Lucas discus Anakin's redemption you get Burtt yammering on about yet another sound effect. And as a bonus, the occasional mumblings from a burnt out Carrie Fisher. -The producers' commentary on Superman 1, 2, and 3 due to Ilya Salkind's incessant overdefensiveness of the fact that he and his father Alexander wanted to make Superman into a big dumb spoof, while avoiding the elephant in the room of Richard Donner's termination for wanting to make movies which were actually good. |
