I know it's hard to answer this question without a bias but do you guys view this is Warner getting rid of stock before going HD-DVD exclusive (I've heard people say that) or is the the final proof that Warner has chosen blu? I suppose a third option would be it just means that you buy 1 you get 1 free...

Probably just trying to compete with all of the standard dvd sales this holiday season. I've seen some new release dvds listed at about $5 at the major electronics retailers recently.
If they were going hd dvd exclusive then their blu-rays would actually increase in value. Last edited by richard lichtenfelt; 12-06-2007 at 09:49 AM. |

Wish there were Bogo sales over here in Belgium.
We need incentives to push HD to the main market |

I think it's nothing but a buy one get one. They've done HD-DVD sales in the past too. Most (all?) of the other studios have had sales. It's a good way to clear out titles that aren't selling as well and at the same time increase interest. I think it means nothing but that. By the "they're clearing out stock" logic, that would mean Sony and Disney were switching very soon, given the number of sales they've had.

this has increased quite a bit since that last time i say, it used to be about 60ish for blu-ray and 20ish for DUD.

besides PE, there is hardly anything close to making an impact that they are winning.

It is Amazon....why do people persist on getting giddy and stupid over amazon numbers when it has been shown over and over and over not to mean anything.
Blu people love to say "it's only amazon" when hd-dvd backers use amazon numbers but then run to make threads over the same numbers when they go the other way. |

I find amazon's sales rank confusing. The lower the number the better the sales and that's compared against all other similar products (DVD's) at amazon, right? But how many copies is that? Why don't they simply list the number sold?
