Anybody like Stargate?

I got Stargate and thought it looked great.... Anybody else get this???? If so, what did you think????????

I love this movie. Always have. Always will. This will be one of the first BD discs I end up getting in the next couple of months for sure.

The TV series' have been really good, but I'd love to see a huge movie sequel some day.

The word on this BD has been nothing but good news all the way around from what I've seen.

Some owners should be chiming in soon enough...

I bought and watched Strargate. I thought it looked really good and had pretty good audio. There is some film grain present but its not that bad and really doesn't take away from the movie.

Reading up more on Stargate it seems like people have polar opposite opinions on this disc. I'm hoping for the best since I just ordered it and like I said, I love the movie.

I know... I know... and I dont understand it....I watched it again tonight and I noticed that they left out the subtitles that are on the original DVD like scenes where Spader it talking to the girl ect.. ect... Is this some kind of error????? Check and see if you guys have subtitles... Maybe there's 2 versions out there?????????

Like the movie somewhat, don't have the BD yet.

My problem is the same problem I have with the other Devlin/Emmerich film Independence Day, where they start out with a great premise and a crackling first hour and then it just runs out of gas and they seem to be making it up as they go along (wanders) before the fairly strong ending. (although using the exact Praxis explosion from Star Trek VI irritates me)

If you turn on the subtitles, then they pop-up... I was watching the movie and thought they left them out because what they were saying wasn't important to the storyline, but then I turned on the subtitles and realized that I missed half of the movie.
