Morena Baccarin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 2, 1979.

She came known to audiences in the role of Inara Serra in Joss Whedon Firefly. Her next big role on TV came in Homeland as Jessica Brody the wife of Iraqi veteran Nicholas Brody played by Damian Lewis. She starred in the comedy Spy opposite Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham. She can next be seen in 2016 Deadpool playing Vanessa Carlysle along side Ryan Reynolds.

She's been to a few conventions in the Dallas area, but I was never a "Firefly" fan, and wasn't familiar with much of her other work. If I met her now though, I'd ask her to sign a shot of Gideon, the computer program she voices on the new "Flash" series.

Haven't seen her much since Firefly and Serenity (didn't care for the V remake), but I enjoyed her recurring role on Gotham a lot. She was a breath of fresh air as Jim Gordon's love interest, making up for the lackluster and useless Barbara. I believe she's being moved up to cast regular for season two.

I always thought she'd make a good Wonder Woman, too.

Even though Gotham is one of the most up and down shows I've ever seen and probably always will be, I would keep watching just because of her. I know, I'm sick and I should be studied.

If you've never caught her appearances on Ferguson, you owe it to yourself to watch these. Trust me. For someone who was only on five times, she really is way up there on my "favorite guests" list. I mean, she obviously no Kristen Bell. But every single one of her appearances is just terrific. And hilarious. And sexy.
